Brit has been playing music her entire life. Growing up the child of two musicians, and beginning her musical studies at the age of 5, she learned to appreciate what music can offer at an early age.  After studying the violin for 10 years, Brit picked up the guitar at 14 and ended up receiving her Bachelors Degree from New York University specializing in jazz performance on guitar.   

 

      A lover of rock, pop and electronic music, Brit has dedicated her life to being a musician, composer, and educator. She has toured both nationally & internationally with her own projects and with other artists including New Myths, Frankie Rose, Kristin Kontrol, Eytan and the Embassy, and Future Punx.  Music Festival performances include Governors Ball, SXSW, Pop Montreal, NXNE, CMJ, Mondo Festival, and Destination Moon.  She has provided direct support for major artists on tour such as Metric, Warpaint, The Joy Formidable, Parquet Courts, Cindy Wilson (of the B-52s,) Garbage, Dan Deacon, Neon Indian, and Dreamwife.

    Brit's compositions have been featured in commercials for companies such as "Gucci," "REEF," "Amuse Society," and "Olay."  Her music has also been featured for use in independent films such as "The Preppy Connection," and "The Night Runner."
